Hi there! Everything going good? No? Yeah. I understand. Now, I’m not much for requests - and certainly not much for making them of everyone everywhere - but I do have one now. Can we have at least oooonnnee week without mass destruction and meaningless loss of life? Just...7 days. A week. That’s not long, right?
You can fight world war 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 all together literally a week after that if you want. But just...please. Seven days. Come on. You can do seven days. You’ve gotta be getting tired of it by now. Don’t you think you’ve earned a break?

Humans are the most evil species on the planet. We are capable of some disturbing, disgusting things. The older I get, the less faith I have in humanity, the more I want to move to the woods, and be a hermit. You can’t even count on your own family anymore.

As much as I am disappointed in all the violence, I don’t believe it’ll stop soon.

No doubt about that. That’s why I left the Catholic religion. The community was great and supportive for my family over the years. But you shouldn’t need A God for that.
We’re all people. Community should be a given.

Yeah, I agree. I’m not as much of a religious person these days, but I kind of want whatever deity/deities there are to strike down so that everyone can be put in their “place.” Earlier this week, the thought that the world should have “ended” in 2012 came into mind.

If Saddam was still in power, Daesh wouldn’t exist. They arose in the power vacuum that eliminating him created. The Middle Eastern countries need a ruthless dictator to prevent them from collapsing. It’s like the Soviet Union after Gorbachev came into power.

Goddamnit, Iraq really was pandora’s box, wasn’t it? Well it’s open now, all the horrors inside are spilling out into the world, it’s our fault completely and - the worst part of this - we have absolutely no interest at all in trying to un-fuck what we fucked up. Because of their proximity to that place, it will be our closest alies who pay the price for this, not us. Just...fuck.
I honestly wish it had been Cthulhu instead. At least then the end of civilization would have been fast.
